Comprehensive Beginner’s Guide To Skin Care

Every week, the skincare realm is bombarded with trends and products that come with claims that are too-good-to-be-true. Building a skincare in itself is difficult and adding new trending products to the mix and we have the recipe for a disaster routine.

We do not want you to be left overwhelmed which is why we have curated the perfect beginner’s guide to skincare. Building a skincare isn’t as hard, but we will help you with tips to get your skincare done right.

Before beginning a routine, understand your skin type well and the ingredients that your skin resonates well with. Once that is done, we can go ahead with our easy 5 step skincare routine.

Step-1: Cleansing

The least glamorous and most important step of your skincare routine, cleansing helps deep your face and get rid of dirt, pollution, and makeup residue. Cleansing unclogs the pores and manages to prevent acne causing germs.

Besides keeping your face skin, cleanser also helps set the base right for the rest of your skincare to follow.

If you have oily skin, you may want to wash your face thrice, if not, stick to cleansing your face twice a day.

Step- 2: Exfoliator

When we put our skin through pollution, sun damage, and climate differences, the layer of our skin is filled with dull dead skin cells. These dead skin cells make our skin lose its lustre resulting in lifeless skin with no glow.

Exfoliating our skin with a natural exfoliator can slough off the dead skin layer and reveal the inner glow.

A well- exfoliated skin can help your skin seep- in all the skincare products from the rest of the routine to make your routine much more effective.

Step 3- Moisturise

One of the most overlooked step in skincare, never skip moisturising your face. Even if you are on the oilier side of the skin type spectrum, you have to use a good moisturiser as they are also extremely suited for oily skin and don’t make your skin oilier. Use a lightweight moisturiser in the day and use a thicker one in the night.

Step 4- Sunscreen:

If you cannot go through all your morning routine, and have time to squeeze in just one step, sunscreen is the one. Using sunscreen is the best way to prevent signs of ageing, wrinkles, and of course protects you from sun damage.

Use a SPF of 30 and above or a moisturising cream with SPF present in it.

Once you have striked the right balance of your skincare routine, it is time to pick up your products. When it comes to skincare, going all natural is the best way to begin your skincare journey.
